The Community Center was originally developed jointly by the State of Michigan, City of Bay City, and County of Bay; currently, it is operated by the County of Bay. The Community Center offers recreational facilities and provides an excellent location for basketball, volleyball, and other team sports.
A smaller, multi-purpose-sized gymnasium is suitable for basketball and large gatherings such as wedding showers, trade shows, and card tournaments. Meeting rooms of various sizes can accommodate groups of any size, ranging up to 240 people.
Every summer, the Community Center hosts a summer recreation program for area youth. Young people enjoy many social building skills, make new friends, and enjoy fun activities like arts, crafts, sports, and field trips.
